3 Nails photography

I was taling with some clients the other evening and they were asking me about my editing. And, I explained that every image that they receive will have been through the processing in some way. But, I also explained that its very minimal I try to shoot as close as I can in camera. They then told me about a photographer that they had heard of 3 nails photography, based in America. They tried to explain how the pictures looked and I was sort of getting it, but then they showed me their site- and I got it!! The way 3 nails edit’s their images are beautiful. I’m not sure if its digital or film, but its beautiful. But, I suppose that it was sets every one apart. How they see things and the way like transform their art.But if you feel like being inspired, or want to look at beautfiul images head over and take a look.

I included an image that I took of Barcelona from 50meters up at the La Sagrada Familia. I’m looking forward to sharing more from this little break away.

Happy Wednesday…

Sam and Julia Stubton Hall Wedding.

With not a cloud in sight, the sun was hot, hot,hot at Stubton Hall! As Julia and the bridesmaids prepared you could sense the excitement building. Between refreshing sips on cool drinks and the occasional visitor  they applied their makeup, laughed, added finishing touches and laughed some more. When your bride is wearing complete sparkle shoes, earrings especially made and a Sincerity gown to finish, you know that the day is going to be good!Downstairs Sam was with the boys and the arriving guests. Cool, calm and collected, being his usual charming and funny self.

As Julia walked down the ailse she beamed with happiness, ready to yes to I do, and yes to forever with Sam. You dont have to be around Sam and Julia long to realise  why they’re together. They smile and laugh constantly together. And as friends and family joined them on their wedding day, it was obvious to all that this was a marriage of love. Two people who had found their perfect fit.

Sam and Julia, thank you so much for allowing me to document your day and witness a part  of your love. You welcomed me like a friend and I enjoyed your wedding so much. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you, I know it was be amazing!

Natasha xx

I love how happy they are!

The speeches were thoroughly entertaining.Heartfelt, honest and VERY funny.

The new look!

You know that feeling when you need a change. When your hair needs something different. When you need to update your wardrobe, because  the stuff in there is just not cool. This is how I’m feeling at the moment. I’m have a late Spring clean I think, changing things around and getting things fresh. I actually sketched a new plan of how I want the spare bedroom to look in bed last night – why I just admitted that to the internet – I will never know. But, like I say I’m feeling the need to change a few things.

I was feeling the same about my website. My old was nice and served me well for a while but I felt like the feel of it needed refreshed. I wanted to leave the fuss at the door and just have something simple. So, let me show you the new look. Fresh, simple and clean, with some beautiful new images to boot! Its been over a year since my last web site re-design, and I feel in that year I’ve developed more as an artist and I’m finding my feet in this beautiful world of photography.

So, please take a little visit to the new site – www.MARGAURITAPHOTOGRAPHY.com  I would love to hear ANY feed back… what do you like? What could be improved? What works? What doesn’t? You can leave a comment below or email natasha@margauritaphotography.com

And most of all if you like what you see – how about sending it to a friend ;-)

Kara Layne

As much as I love the fact that I can tell someones story, I also love how someone else tells the story. There is a blog that I follow  - a lady called Kara Layne. Not only is she such a talented photographer, shes a mum, a sister, a wife an aunt – a business owner! Intertwined with her lastest wedding or shoot, she talks about life. Real life. Her life. And I think it’s really  great that people can be so open and ready to share. And   I love  the fact that you can get to know someone just by following their blog. Love.Love.Love it.

If you enjoy  reading and following blogs of real life, everyday kinda of stuff. I think you will enjoy this. And of course, if nothing else, you get to look at beautiful - beautiful images.

A little behind..

Lately things have been quite busy over at MPHQ! I am running a tad behind with my blogging, so wanted to keep you in the loop of what I have been doing with a sneak to some shoots I will be sharing with you soon..  So, do stay  with me and keep coming back –  I have some beautiful shoots to share!

Being a guest.

This weekend was the first time in a long time that I had been to a wedding  - as a guest. Now, I love my job as a wedding photographer, but it was so nice to be able to just enjoy the day, away from the view finder. Jim’s cousin got married at  Woodhall Spa in Linton and the day was fab! It was nice to watch other photographers at work, and see how they do things. I did stil take my camera, just with my 50mm, and I captured a few shots, to remember the day and because we were dressed up! ;-)  Weddings are such a special day – but there also a LOT of fun, and I feel very lucky to call what I love to do my job..

Happy Monday x

Jai and Hannah City centre engagement.

It wouldn’t matter if I was there with my camera or not – they would still laugh together, stil smile at each other and walk hand  in hand. When you meet you Jai and Hannah it doesn’t take long to see that fit together. Perfectly.

In August this summer Jai and Hannah  are getting married, and the location is in the city. So, we thought we would take a casual stroll round at the weekend  to get a feel of places to shoot, and we found so many! I love engagement sessions, getting to spend time getting to know my clients some more before their wedding. With Jai and Hannah with did just that, got to each other more, had plenty of laughs and sealed the day with a beer!!

Jai and Hannah – thank you so much for being you in front of my camera!! I cannot wait to tell more of your  story in August!! Here are just a few from the day x

Clothes swap party extravaganza

Last night I attended a fabulous clothe swap party, in honor of our friend Lee was is moving back home to Australia. The rule was that everyone had to bring 1 item of clothes minimum – but no one stuck to that and everyone brought loads ;-)

The party was hosted by Jess, and by the time we arrived her kitchen looked like it  was a real shop. It boasted a mannequin with belts and accessories, a rail full of re-loveable clothes, a bench of tops and a line of shoes. Oh and not to forget a table full of treats. It was nice to do something a little different, and plus it was a great way for Lee to get rid of a lot of clothes and make her case travelling home a little lighter! Although I’m pretty sure her bag was full when she left!!

I for one, would like to do these a bit more often. I walked home with a new dress, new shoes, shirt, belt and  tops – perfect!!

Here is a little look into our evening…x

Me (wearing a new re-loved jumper) and Lee ;-)

This is the lovely Lee and our host Jess..

Have a great  Jubilee Weekend everyone!!  x
